1. Welcome

Dream Kauai ("we," "us," "our") is a local-first guide to the island of Kauaʻi. By accessing or using dreamkauai.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

2. Informational purpose only

Content on the Site — including trail info, activities, advisories, business listings, events, and recommendations — is provided for general information. Conditions on Kauaʻi change quickly (weather, surf, road closures, permit rules). Always verify with official sources before you travel, hike, swim, or make plans. You use the Site and follow any suggestion at your own risk.

3. Third-party listings & links

The Site links to businesses, musicians, venues, tour operators, and other third-party resources. We don't own, operate, or endorse those third parties, and we're not responsible for their content, pricing, availability, or conduct. Any transaction you make with a listed business is between you and that business.

4. User accounts & content

Some features (Talk Story, My Trip, business/musician profiles, event submissions, feedback) require an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything posted from your account.

When you submit content — reviews, comments, profiles, events, photos-by-URL, feedback — you grant Dream Kauai a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and moderate that content on the Site. You keep ownership of your content.

Don't post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, misleading, infringing, spam, or that impersonates someone else. We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion.

5. Respect for ʻāina & community

Kauaʻi is a living community and a sacred place. Please follow posted signs, respect private property and cultural sites, mālama ʻāina (care for the land), and follow all local, state, and federal laws — including trail permits, ocean safety rules, and wildlife protection laws.

6. Intellectual property

The Site's design, code, original text, and branding are owned by Dream Kauai. You may share links to pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. Don't scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the Site without written permission.

7. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, accurate, or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dream Kauai and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on any content — including personal injury, property damage, or loss of data. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
